An update on our chairman, Hylton Murray-Philipson

All of us here at Global Canopy are delighted that our friend and chairman, Hylton Murray-Philipson, has made a full recovery after being hospitalised with coronavirus. Hylton was treated at the Leicester Royal Infirmary for 12 days, and spent five days fighting for his life in intensive care.

He was finally discharged on Saturday 4 April and has spent the days since recuperating at home with his boys. Last week he was interviewed by, among others, the BBC and ITV about his experience and the incredible level of care he received from the nurses and doctors at Leicester Royal.

Hylton would like to send his heartfelt thanks to the many friends of Global Canopy who sent messages of kindness and support in recent weeks. We could not be happier that he is with us again, as full of life as ever, as we continue our work to end tropical deforestation.
