Only multidisciplinary approaches will meet the complex challenges facing forests, and for over five years we have successfully developed policy and business programmes to complement our scientific heritage.
Flagship projects such as the Natural Capital Declaration, our Community MRV work in Guyana, The REDD Desk policy resource and our Unlocking Forest Finance project, are targeting the key pressure points threatening tropical forests. Whereas projects like the Amazonia Security Agenda (ASA) explore how Amazonia’s forests, rivers, rainfall and natural wealth underpin security for local people and for Latin America as a whole.
Other projects, such as the Little Book Series and the Forest Footprint Disclosure Project (now the Carbon Disclosure Project's Forests Program) have also been widely recognised for their innovation and impact. If you want to find out more about our diverse projects you can use the search box or tag cloud to browse these and other GCP initiatives.
