The GCP will address issues and concerns raised by the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD)

The GCP will address issues and concerns raised by the Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

The GCP will raise funds and disperse grants for collaborative research, and establish Pathfinder projects to carry out integrated interdisciplinary research between sites.
